Anna ReidThere is no excuse to use a docking computer. Ever. If I can dock a Type ship without one, you can dock a beluga without one.

On an unrelated note, welcome new commanders! We practice Thing making, RP and needless internet shitfitting here. If you like any of those things, all of them, or a combination, you should fit right in around here!

Docking computers were invented so you could a, put the kettle on b, pour a stiff drink or c, get a cold one from the fridge

Truth! I just threw one on again. Been grinding delivery missions for days, them saw this and realized that I haven't lost my shields for ages to pirates and the Module Reenforcements were not necessary. It's ok that the Tower Controller laughs at me. She's working and I'm relaxing!

Let me introduce myself, my character is smokeingcat1369. I've been playing for just a few weeks. So I'm kind of new. I have worked my way up to a type-6. Currently I'm in Colonia. I made the long trip out here on a whim and a prayer. I play as a Trader. Don't much like killin but I still like to fly. Would like to say hi to everyone and thank you in advance for any help that someone gives me. And in character fly safe CMDR's

Hi all. been on Inara for a couple of days now just kind of lurking, getting used to the site and all,
I've been playing elite for a few years now but I'm just getting back into it after taking a couple months break although I suppose this is probably my first time actually participating with the community of elite. (I'm Hella awkward). I must say though I didn't realise there was a whole RP side to the community until i joined Inara and its sorta piqued my interests I was looking at the INGABA thread and was thinking I might just jump right in. the only thing stopping me was that I don't know if there's any RP'ing etiquette that i should know about first (what with it being my first time and all).

Anyways In game I go by CMDR Bryan Iscariot (read Brian) I usually tend to spend most my time in empire space specifically A.L.Duval territory although wouldn't mind exploring a bit. I might need some sort of a guide for all the stuff to do with the horizons expansion later on(remember the couple months break I mentioned, yeah, basically missed all that.)I know the basics for the engineers but i haven't seen any of the wrecks or ruins or any of that. so if anyone wants to go sightseeing with me later send me a friend request.( I say later because currently all my ships have awful jump ranges).

anyways thanks for listening to my spiel.

Hello commander, and welcome. Getting a Type 6 in just a few weeks is good going. I hope your trip to Colonia turns out well.

Take care out there.

Hello commander, and welcome.

Have a look through some of the existing RP to get a feel for it. There are quite a few different styles to choose from, but most of us use third person for narrative and first person for dialogue. Thoughts at venant expressed in italics, sometimes denoted by asterisks.

Above all, remember that the game is all about ordinary people, so please resist any relation to be a snowflake! Beware of doing anything that may have an effect on others who are not directly involved in your own RP. You will often find several convos going on at the same time in the Ingabar.

If you have any specific questions about RP, I would encourage you to post them in the Roleplay Q&A OOC forum.

Take care out there.

Another hot tip is to always make sure you proofread your stuff before posting it...

Hello! Outlaw Ktulu here. Just joined up with the Privateers after watching twitch streams and receiving alot of great advice from them. Figured if you have folks on twitch going out of their way to , more than likely, answer repetitive noon questions, this would be a great group to fly with. I've just picked up ED last week and getting into the game. Hope to see some of you out there in the verse!

Hi INARA Commanders just introducing myself. I'm Commander Che Castro an '84 Elite Veteran but only started playing ED last month. Because I'm a veteran the game concept wasn't alien to me but it's been quite a slog with a steep learning curve and loads of mistakes resulting in death or loss of credits. I can't do combat because I'm using an old laptop with keyboard and mouse but I'm trading nicely with the help of online tools.

I need help filling out my INARA pilot's license. I can't work out how to populate the fields, do I need to connect to my ED file and also how do I export the license?
