Unfortunately they didn't mention how fast the thing is moving. I'd be curious to see what kind of velocity a thing like that has.
They spotted a star that was flung out of the galaxy at a fantastic rate, and I wonder how the two would compare.

Our analysis also provides an absolute proper motion for the BH. The proper motion is offset from the mean motion of Galactic-disk stars at similar distances by an amount corresponding to a transverse space velocity of ~45 km/s

Isn't Horizons still on your system? Or are you on console?
On PC we have all 3 versions still. I can jump into Horizons or the base game.
In fact, after Odyssey came out I went back to Horizons for about a month. (I was protesting the lame first-person mode.)

Yes, everyone still has Horizons, but if you want to start fresh on a new account without deleting the previous one, you have to buy another license. The best time to do so is when Horizons is on sale for five bucks. It doesn't mean you have to install the game again, but it allows you to maintain multiple saves.

I have known players who had a spare account they would use when they were out in the black. Sorta a way to keep from going space-mad while they are out there for months and months and months. Just a 2nd acct so they can do some pew-pew to break up the monotony.

I've just done this - while it can be fun and you can try doing things differently (and take your time over it as you've done it all before), what hit me the most is just how much easier everything has become - even just playing normal stuff you can make your first million in a few flights. Maybe even just one or two if you get the right area.
As you can see, on my 2nd day and fourth session I already had 116 million cr

It probably would be more difficult when you don't know what's going on and things like Ram Tah are just mystical names that mean nothing, though the rewards for everything seem to be more than they were 8 years ago, as is rep. Inflation, I suppose!
