In other words, ~3K ly travelled (actually 0, but 1 h spent) for nothing. OK, now I can feed 25 sensor fragments to almost useless engineer Palin, so he can crank few m/s out of my cartoon ship's thrusters. Can he?
At least I took few good photos of... photos.

BTW, is any of this https://canonn.science/codex/barnacle-forest/ still valid? It's 7 years old and the game had few major upgrades.
LOL, who gave them .science TLD?

Anybody got an idea on the base 'cold' level of the Mandalay?

At rest with only life support I jump between 14-16. But maybe cold mechanics have changed?

You mean the stock Mandalay? Just look at Edsy. If you are looking for an extreme cold build from which to elaborate, you can choose this one here, although I would not recommend flying it. A more feasibly exploration build with low thermals would be this one.

From my practical experience I can say, that these values do not matter too much because the Mandalay gets rid of heat very quickly anyway, and even with a more combat oriented (= hot) build, you have no problem e.g. charging the FSD while still close to a star.
