no iirc the T-8 can only ever be obtained in Horizons 4.0 by paying for it with Arx. it won't come for Legacy 3.8 ever sadly. if you're already on horizons 4.0 it may be worth getting odyssey when it goes on sale, since if they share the same engine upgrades and galaxy so you probably can run both

I am in 4.0! Mainly the reason I don't own Odyssey is mostly a... Logistics issue with USD prices and the purchases themselves in my area, so it's in the backburner but not entirely expedient

Something my Mandalay is not gonna replace my Krait Phantom for: Carrying Class 5 Modules and Class 3 weapons to engineers, I just finished the AX Corvette HULL REINFORCEMENT PACKAGES, 4 of them, I had to transfer two out of four but at least the Krait can carry them, same for weapons, Class 3 vs class 2.

When one of the heavies doesn't have the range, the Krait takes over, if I need to engineer higher classes I move the Carrier.

About the Cobra Mk V, I saw pictures of it without the wings, it was a good looking ship, what bothers me is that we can't take them off...

Anyone having experience with taking the standard Shards with Guardian Anti-Zone Resistance to a Titan? They should give the highest oomph of all weapons against its exposed thermal core = highest payout. I'm going to test this later.

Also: the CG is insane, everyone gets six pre-engineered FSD. That's really newcomer friendly! Any idea what's up with faster boot lore-wise? Is that a hint towards more Thargoid encounters? Otherwise it doesn't make a lot of sense.

yes, i make a lot of money with em. They're best for titan stuff. Four 3c shard cannons on python mk2 makes good profit

With premium synths u can earn 32 million per run

As far as I know… it doesn’t have particular significance to lore. It’s just the one other modification which provides additional jump range, so their range is better than a default A rated which gets engineered.

Fast boot also affects reboot times I guess but from my experience taking the Thargoid FSD reboot missiles, does not actually affect the time it takes to cycle when hit by those. Or still takes an awfully long time, anyway.

Frontier probably might also need to up Titan hitpoints again to stop it blowing up before the weekend has a chance to get started proper. Despite getting pushed to 2 billion it/the CG - which seems to use Titan HP as progress - is still predicted to go on early Saturday morning (by local times, anyway).

I've had it... I tried 4 times to get to Sol and I end up with disabled weapons and multiple malfunctions, impossible to engage, I have no idea why, plus I'm interdicted time and time again.

So I'm going to kill Thargos elsewhere.

They overheat your ship quickly though, but then again I had 3l and 2m shards, bit too greedy
The enhanced AX missiles do a similar trick with much less heat, so maybe I switch back to them. And money is not so much an issue, got my decal anyway, so that s that.

3 days roughly at current pace, yes. Probably will go a bit faster when the weekend rolls around and/or Frontier don’t mess with the numbers some more.

If anything special happens following the Titan’s destruction it will probably occur with the Thursday maintenance, however. Unless they scripted in a special cutscene or something to trigger when the Titan meltdown starts or concludes. I’ve seen some people question the 2GB size of the update just for a new ship and some small fixes.

But the fast boot mod doesn’t have any significant impact on Thargoid stuff unless you power it off in combat due to build restrictions (and could greatly benefit from 2 second boot time). As I said, it does not appear to bypass the long cycle effect forced by Glaive or Scythe reboot missiles.

If I'm reading the Community Goal correctly, only direct damage to the Titan counts? And it has to be a specific amount/credits? Or could a newbie grab a Vulture, throw on some AXMCs, shoot-die-repeat, cash in for Community Goal and earn the rewards? (I hope it's the latter.)

I plan to get in there and bomb the actual Titan in an engineered Krait MkII, but I'm hoping FDev has made it so even people just starting can get good rewards.

You have to damage the vent core, which implies either teaming up with someone who can torpedo the vents, or going into open, or torpedoing them yourself. The core won't show up until you do that.

I was thinking that, given that it reduces reboot time after hit by a Thargoid missile, it might point to more Thargoid stuff after Cocijo. And maybe in deep space, given that we get FSDs and not weapons or so. An exploration CG into Thargoid space, delving into their history would be nice. But this might be just wishful thinking, it could well be to establish even longer jump ranges for the colonization module next year.

The CG itself only requires a basic minimun contribution. One hit on the core would be enough.

If you want the Titan decal and shipkit (which is based off how many you participated in prior), it’s 2 million in the week before meltdown starts. Since it has never taken a week to bring one down, that’s not a particularly practical concern to be had, so far at least.

As far as I’m aware it does not. Or if so it’s not noticeable, because I felt it took about as long for a Cutter’s FSD during evacs to reboot as it did for a Krait’s using the pre-engineered version that already exists.

I do guess there will be more Thargoid stuff simply because I doubt the AX playerbase will be too interested in sitting on the old nebula content, nor are all of them just going to go into Power Pissing or BGS.

How do you get to Sol without all your weapons being disabled, not to mention instable systems?

As soon as I get there if I haven't been interdicted and took damage, the HUD becomes unreadable...
