My name is Marie. I was born and raised in the Sol system. At a pretty young age, I was aware that my interests in the stars were unique. I lived in a small town on a ranch taking care of horses. With a wild imagination, and a lot of nights gazing at the stars, I knew at a very young age that one day I would leave Earth and become a pilot.

My parents were not fond of the idea of me becoming a pilot and meant to end my dreams. Hiding every newspaper, and changing the channel on the television frequently, as new discoveries were reported of an incoming Thargoid threat, assassinations of powerful leaders, and war brewing between the Federation and Imperial. Our nightly news consisted of lost pilots on long expeditions, and missing personal effects recovered from search parties as well as scandals of the highest class.

Needless to say, I knew the dangers that awaited such a career as a pilot for the Federation.

Shortly after my twenty-fifth birthday I made the decision to leave the ranch, and board a shuttle headed for the Dromi system.
I had one goal in mind. I wanted to become the best explorer known to mankind. Although I had such an impossible task ahead of me. Learning to fly a ship, would prove to be a challenge. With an extensive crash course training operation, followed by a long voyage to Umbrigua from Dromi, I had decided that I would never return to the grassy ground of Earth after my first look into Tokubei Station. I learned every maneuver I could with my new sidewinder, I was determined to make my way in the galaxy.

I learned the ways of trade, primarily with Kamitra Cigars, and Soontill Relics. I also invested in mining capabilities. Flying between asteroids in the belt of Umbrigua quickly lost my interest. I knew combat was of no interest to me at the time, primarily because I wanted to do good for the galaxy, in a peaceful way. I would enter battle as a medic to aid commanders falling in battle. In result I set out to make some quick credits running courier missions and delivering medical supplies to stations in need.

I was becoming a skilled pilot, rich in explorational discoveries. My heart goes out to those lost in the depths of the galaxy. After several alarming reports of missing pilots, and stumbling upon mysterious listening posts, I decided right then and there, to make my career about exploration and research.

I scanned several biological and geological objects, from trees to geysers.

After my first Thargoid Interceptor sighting, I discovered that this alien did not attack and blow my ship up, as the news reports always warned. Curious as to why I was able to approach the alien, make a scan, and fly away. Maybe details were left out of the public reports for good reason. Ever since that moment, I have pushed forward with the investigation into this alien race, as well as unlocking the darker secrets to the galaxy.
I am considered to be an independent pilot. There are many holes in the reports that require investigation, therefore I have made my way in the Galaxy as more of an investigator of theories than an explorer. Avoiding certain conflict at every hyperspace jump, I am nearer to unlocking the secrets hidden deep within the Federation, and with each piece of information I unravel, brings me closer to my goal for answers.

A series of constant threats from President Zackary Hudson, I decided to choose loyalty with the Ceo of Sirius Corporation Li Yong-Rui. Afterall it was his Corporation who funded my expeditions, as well as provided the technology needed to make faster time in the galaxy.
I have no interest in the Galactic war that is brewing between the Federation and Imperials, I couldn’t understand their needs to disagree even as a schoolgirl back on Earth. I knew early on that when I became a pilot, I would not distract myself with the wild goose chases of Federation, or the Politics of the Imperials.

Here I was, Investigating all points of interest on both sides of each superpower. One thing in common with both powers…. The thargoid alien race threatens humanity, but why? Why are there so little details revealed to the public? What are the Galactic leaders hiding from us?

Quickly I began to see right through the powers… and no sooner had I returned from a long voyage in the black, did my own super power turn on me. I had a serious thought on the matter, I had finally had enough…
After trying the nice way of galactic society, I discovered that would get me nowhere… I aligned my focus up with Pirate Lord Archon Delaine, and began to mark his slaves. He offered little sacrifice for large rewards. Afterall, I could smoke my Kamitra Cigars, and drink my Kongga Ale in peace. Galactic travel became much easier, and that is when I began to live.
One thing's for sure.. Never say never… At one point I vowed to never become a combat pilot, and today, here I am a bounty hunter, determined to make my way in the galaxy. . .

Nearing the end of year 3307, I decided to break ties, with any superpower, and go after the thargoids. I knew before I could fully invest in making a difference, I needed to engineer a ship properly to survive the fights. I headed out to guardian space, and collected the materials required to make me a decent ship. Went back and gathered my gear from Vince station, confident in my initial ship. I boarded the Jupiter Ascend and now I am headed down to Delphi, where I will further investigate the happenings of the thargoid threat...
