"Stardust, do you see him? Is he alive?"
"Yes sir! Double positive. Keep current vector, pass that hill... You will see another set of track. It will take you to final location."
"Is it far?"
"Not much!... Half a click after the hill. You will see him."
"Thank you boys. You can turn back now."
"Good luck sir! Bring him home! Condor team out!"
At first we wanted to follow his tire tracks from ground. It would be the easiest way, but no... This giant space trap has some sand yes, but it is still mostly rock. And not only rock, there is some strange metal reserves at hill tops, which is why the beacon signal was bouncing from everywhere, using the hills like a transmitter. And finaly a giant space magnet killed his chatter.
How unlucky a guy can be? I believe, what happened to Mr. Gibson, was the answer.
After loosing his signal we started a searching squad by dispatching a Condor team. We couldn't rely on our equipment, so we needed to track him by eyesight from above. At the end of 8 hours of search party, we found and bring him back.
After being a prisoner of the satellite for 18 hours, we are ready to abandon this cursed rock, never to return. With everybody back on ship... Safely...
We lost only the Buggy. It was unrepairable, but managed to salvage the remains for extra parts. From now on, we don't have a spare land vehicle.
