Logbook Entry: Stardate 981282.507431441Space. Phra Saman System, in transit to Longomontanus Dock
I'm moving up in the world by quite the margin. Over an easy day I've built up a solid friendship with my sector's running crowd, the East India Company, quite nice people too. They run the majority of import export jobs around my area so I've managed to cultivate a personal friendship with Lynch, the Vice President of the company. Grand taste in music that man has too, he even gave me this lovely little Old Earth music device called a 'Cassette Player' and a few 'Cassette Tapes' for it, old classics I've never heard before, preserved in the original format. Makes for a lovely conversation piece when people come over to my flat at Lundwall. We got to talking a few hours back and he made a very interesting point, out here in Imperial Space, there are plenty of Federation aligned companies, but not once have I flown in Federation space and seen any Imperial Interests represented. What does that say about their vaunted 'Democracy' and 'freedom' huh? I think it says they're scared that all the poor citizens in their space will realise the horrors of Federation rule and come begging the Empire to bring civilisation to their disgusting planets.
I've ranted for long enough, nearing supercruise drop point now, Set my speed to give me some time to write out a log, timed it perfectly.
