A Whole lot of help

While exploring the black I came upon a Commander by the name of VIZIO RACEIO, I honestly don't know if he's the biggest dupe in the universe or a very competent Squadron leader.He approached me over communications network about a week ago while I was charting some systems with an offer to join his squadron (HEAVEN'S JUDGMENT) I have to say I was hesitant because I'm not very good at taking orders and I was in a little ASP Explorer that wasn't really outfitted for anything but combat and exploration and his squadron was quite a distance from my location at the time, after speaking with him a bit and learning that a large part of their income was derived from mining I politely informed him I had no experience with mining I was a bounty hunter/combat pilot turned explorer to earn enough creds to obtain the new Mamba ship this voice from the black told me if I joined they would not only help me get the creds for the Mamba but enough to deck it out for combat all I had to do was meet him in his Home system with a load of collection limpets, was this a set up? an ambush? Id only encountered this commander in the black and only one or two times in passing well being a combat piolet I'm a firm believer in fortune favors the bold after he agreed to also make me the tactical officer for the Squadron I set course for his location with the limpets and armed to the teeth ( not that my weapons would assist me if this was a setup as I would learn I would be the only member without an Anaconda
as soon as I arrived in the system I locked onto his wing beacon and met him in an asteroid field where he told me to deploy two of my limpets, I did so and he just started dropping minerals he had mined, I mean tons upon tons of them with my little limpets running ragged trying to collect it all, within 10 min of my arrival I had enough resources to sell and buy my Mamba ship with enough left over to equip her quite well, a few days later he did the same thing so I could afford an Orca so I could mine my own resources (although I seriously lack any skill as a miner it seems to all be hit or miss with more misses than hits) Anyway why they needed me is beyond my comprehension, although I can run circles around their bulky Anacondas with my mamba for sheer firepower they have me beat (I can barely scratch their shielding before my weapons overheat. so needless to say hear I am a fighter pilot in the fastest fighter in the universe in a squadron of Anaconda feeling like the grateful odd man out, I have to admit the entire squadron has been welcoming and friendly even or cook whom I give no end of shit too their an awesome bunch and I'm honored to be flying as an unneeded escort with them.
