Exploration Trials

03 Aug 2018Webster 962
The 'Kerr Avon' is getting itchy feet, or rather I am.

I have decided to take her on a small exploration, just inside the bubble, but to see how she handles, how long the fuel scooping and refueling takes, and what sort of routine I need to get into in order to scan significant bodies, mainly metal rich rich, Earth-like and Water worlds.

So I plotted a 77 system route from the base and back again, and set off.

The journey took two days, jumping in and doing a detailed star scan, system honk and refuel at the same time. Once that was done, I spent 30 seconds on the system map looking for likely candidates, and if there were any under 1000ls away, I would shoot off and detail scan them, before hitting the next system.

Rinse and repeat.

Finally, when I got back I cashed in my data and netted a cool 35 million credits! Not bad for a quick jaunt in the bubble.
