I have truly begun my voyage around the Galaxy. Less than a year past I flew to the far side and returned, but now I seek a longer trip, and others will be making the same pilgrimage as I am.

I set off from the Enif system several days ago, and due to a miscalculation I had, I had to turn around to fly back several hundred lightyears for a piece of scanning equipment I'd forgotten. Error now amended, I set off to the Southern edge of the Milky Way, traveling past the Heart and Soul nebulae on my journey.

Out there lie undiscovered riches, worlds untouched by human eyes. I will be the first of many to see new things, but this time I plan to spend in the black shall remind me of just how small humanity's reach truly is. We've come so far from the early days of spaceflight, as history classes teach our youth, but we still have so far to go.
