Journey to Colonia - Day 2 - Hillary Depot

Thirty-three jumps from Mammon to Blu Thua AI-A c14-10, and finally I found myself descending into a dark crater to see the towers of Hillary Depot rising around me as I descended to the crater floor. The Depot is just about the only thing out here, and it lacks the amenities you find in the bubble, but I was able to sell my cartographic data for a cool 2.5 million. If I keep it up at that rate I'll end up in Colonia somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 to 30 million credits richer. That's probably not that much money if I'm being honest, but I'm not exactly scouring every system along my route for exploration data. I pretty much jump in, find all the most lucrative planets that I can, and then move on. Once I get to Colonia, I think I'll take some exploration expeditions out into the surrounding space before eventually continuing my galactic journey with a trip to Sagittarius A Star. I've always had a fascination with black holes. A pirate captain I once knew believed that black holes were sentient, and was convinced that it was only they who truly existed, and that all of us were little more than a dream of the singularities. His crew eventually got tired of that kind of talk and decided to send the poor captain to test his theory personally, mutinying and stuffing him into an escape capsule that was then jettisoned into a nearby black hole. I am told that he repented of his belief as he approached the event horizon, but if his repentance saved his life, there was no sign of it.
Saw a binary pair on my way out to Blu Thua AI-A c14-10 that were almost close enough to shake hands:
The next leg will take me to Amundsen Terminal in Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10. The galactic disk grows a little closer with every jump, and the black feels a bit more like home each day. Fly safe, Commanders.
