It wasn't exactly my idea to come back to Jelani, but here I am. The thing about Apex is that they will only take you to verified, approved locations. My ship was orbiting the planet in low power standby mode, undetectable and using no fuel. This means there was no signal for the driver to lock on to. But it wouldn't have mattered anyway because Apex doesn't do EVA drops. So, to get back to my ship, I had to recall it from the surface, and Jelani just happened to be the only available option. Interestingly, the place wasn't the way I left it. Someone had cleaned it up, and a criminal faction had moved in to occupy it. Quite possibly the same people who controlled it before the outbreak. I didn't feel like getting into any fights so I left them alone and called my ship. Got a few odd glances from the locals, but nothing I wasn't expecting. There's definitely something off about the place still. Call it a gut feeling. But I'm not in the mood for trouble anymore, not after what I just went through. So I'm out. Whatever is going on in this system, it's someone else's problem now.
