"Well. I've arrived at the Heart Nebula and I'm currently docked with the Farsight Expedition Base and boy...of all the places I land myself it ends up being here where there's civil unrest and an unbelievable amount of piracy. This...Black Heart Gang or whatever they call themselves. They're a huge problem around here. I was attacked by them a few days ago. That landed me in the medical bay for a bit to recover. A long story but I'll log it for this recording."

"Well, it starts with me pulling into the station and docking, checking the services board and seeing the situation on what exactly is going on in this isolated little system. I mean when I jumped in system I picked up several distress signals, weapons fire and pirate activity all over the place so I already knew something was going on but wanted to get to the station and check it out myself. Civil unrest. The system was experiencing civil unrest and pirates were virtually everywhere. So...what do I do? Well, first I got a drink but afterwards I, for some stupid reason, decided it was a good idea to fly back out and help out with some of the distress signals that were out there. I found one that was listed as heavy pirate activity so I decided to drop in and stick my nose about. As soon as I dropped in I quickly took notice of a devastated ship. It was so mangled and in pieces, I couldn't make it out. But there were certainly plenty of life pods floating about. Some were unfortunately damaged. Of course, dropping in gathered the attention of the Black Hearts and so I had an Anaconda and an Adder flank me conducting an unwanted scan. I let them finish and they seemed uninterested so they broke off and began scavenging. Me? Well, I decide to hit silent running, prepare a heat sink and drop my cargo scoop to pick up the life pods. I knew these people were going to be left out here and at worst, the pirates would've used them for ransom or interrogation possibly...worse. So I collected the pods and suddenly took notice of the cargo canisters in the area that the pirates were collecting and...well. The canisters were filled with experimental chemicals. Yup. Experimental chemicals. Do I want that in my hold? Hell no. Absolutely not. It's illegal and I'm not being arrested for contraband. So I picked up the last pod and booted it out to notify local system authorities on what I just found. While I'm trying to leave, that stupid Adder tails me for a bit but I jump into supercruise and get away. From there everything's fine. I deliver the life pods then head to system authorities to report the experimental chemicals I found. Of course to no surprise, they're unable to do much with the civil unrest and a collapsing society so I decided that I'd head back to my ship, fly out there and dispose of the cargo myself. Easy. Figured it was the right thing to do...buuut I'm then ambushed just a few feet from the hangar doors to my landing pad. Four of them. I could tell by their looks. Pirates. They tracked my ship back and waited for me. I tried being peaceful but that almost never works with pirates so a fight broke out. I managed to brake one guy's arm and hit another guy in the face. I was overpowered and beaten pretty badly. Don't remember much but I vaguely remember a miner that must have seen what happened and fired warning shots with his sidearm. According to him, he dragged me to medical to be patched up. Nothing serious with injuries. Fractured rib, small lacerations and some bruising. Maybe I'm being modest. I got it pretty bad. Ugh. I hate this place right now. The guy that helped was...damn. Can't remember his name? Terran. Terence? Tyrese? My head hurts. He was someone. Nice guy. Stayed with me for a bit. But of course as soon as I recover, I'm informed my ships been sabotaged. One of those little bastards sabotaged my ship! My own ship! Ehh. The station paid for it on their condolences so it was free. The repairs didn't take long so as soon as it was done I said bye to the poor gentleman's name I forgot and got the hell out of there. I'm not going back and if I do I'm keeping to myself and staying for a short time. That little mining system has a lot of issues to work out. Anyways, I'm headed for the Persei star cluster. There's four Supergiants and I want to see them. After that I plan to head back up to Soul Nebula. Maybe they're better. But that's it for my log today. See you in the next one."
