Meta Waste of Time

Jumped into populated space to pick up better modules for the Diamondback, then headed back to Merope 5C to snag more meta alloys, but the barnacle wasn't there anymore. Damned thing musta puckered right up. No worries, right? Two tons should be enough... and I dropped a rank in my earnings at the Bounty Hunt when I need to be going up...
Pulled into that disabled station in Arawere, but there's no one here (except for that slick-ass, smooth talking ship salesman)... what a damned shame. Hoped I could have my people working the docks fashion me up with a meta alloy power plant or bulkheads or something, but it's a ghost town out here. I don't blame them, though... work shuts down for an indefinite amount of time, I'd pucker off too...
With no one around to hand these meta alloys off to, I'll probably sell them where I stashed my Federal Assault Ship.

UPDATE: turns out no one in the bubble is buying these meta alloys... asked around and heard rumors of stations with missions requesting meta alloys, headed out to a few stations and the story was the same: no one wanted to touch them - couldn't even sell them in the market... so, I headed back down to sell these to some research assistants at that station in Maia. Jerks even underpaid, but by then, I just wanted them off my hands. This is what happens when you try to do something useful.
On the plus side, I'm now the proud owner of a pretty sweet Diamondback Explorer...
