After several months of traversing the vast expanse of space, I find myself suspended in the midst of my journey, roughly halfway to my initial destination: Amundsen Terminal. Along the way, I've chanced upon Earth-like planets that have already been charted and explored by intrepid commanders before me. This delightful diversion from my primary flight plan has allowed me to indulge in one of my primary goals for this expedition: exploration and exo data scavenging.

As I reflect on the tales passed down by previous commanders who ventured out into the inky void of the cosmos, I always understood that embarking on a journey like this would be a test of patience and endurance. However, it's only now that the true enormity of such an odyssey is sinking in. The unending stretches of space, the solitude, and the countless light-years between destinations make it abundantly clear that a journey of this magnitude is an exercise in profound patience.

Despite the seemingly interminable nature of this voyage, I don't find myself consumed by regret. This is precisely what we, as commanders, signed up for. The grandeur of the universe awaits us, and with each light-year traveled, I am one step closer to unraveling its mysteries.
