Carrier Loop?

Commander's Log, on the Helios Skimmer.

So, that triple LTD spot turned bust. Had to end sometime. Still, I am a lot richer now than I was just a week ago. Decided to celebrate with a trip out of The Bubble. So, here I am, on final prep of my faithful Asp Explorer. It's not fancy. It isn't engineered or fuel injected. It's just a workhorse.

That suits me fine. I don't mind a few extra jumps. More exploration data, right? Right.

Anyways, I just needed to get out of the neighborhood. The Tavern is nice and all, but they can get a bit rowdy. I need some time to myself...

Just me, my little plants on the dashboard, my synthwave... and the stars.

But just going to Sagittarius A seems like a boring affair. Almost too easy... so, why not take the scenic route? After all, the Deep Space Support Array is going up, so there are fleet carrier all along a big loop down the Spur and then turning back towards the center.

So, here's what I'm thinking.

( Map taken from here )

The Tavern at 59 Virginis (home)
DSSA Artemis Rest in Synuefuae CM-J d10-42
DSSA Kraut in NGC 3199 Sector LC-V c2-5
DSSA Dryman's Hope in Eock Prau WD-T d3-1 (That's the big one, because there's no carriers in Hawking's Gap yet. Pretty much going Sol to Colonia, distance wise.)
DSSA Bougainville in Eock Bluae QL-X c1-1
DSSA Sleeper Service in Oorb Broae DF-A e6 (maybe skip this one and just go straight for the goal)
Explorer's Anchorage in Stuemeae FG-Y d7561

Okay, so... the calculations are in. This crazy ass route is over 83,000 lightyears. I'm gonna be jumping well over 1600 times, even with the Neutron Highway. Better than the alternative, without them. That's over 2400 jumps.

I leave tonight...

...

Space madness is only a joke the spacers who go to Beagle rib each other about... right?

...

Right?

End log.
