Leg Four: Navigational Errors

Commander's Log, aboard the Helios SkimmerStaring into the empty void
I've hit a small snag.
My route plotting, both with 3rd party software mapping the Neutron Highways, and the internal navigation computer have thrown up their hands. I am unable to continue on my current course, because the space between stars has grown too great. I didn't realize it at first, but it has taken me to the very bottom edge of the Sagittarius Arm. A place that is eerily without stars in one direction. And what few I can see are out of range.
I am having to manually plot short jumps to crawl my way back up towards the galactic plane and back towards the Dryman Ridge, which is where I thought I was going to.
'Listen to your nav computer, but never trust it' was what an old Imperial spacer told me, months ago. I guess I'm learning that lesson first hand, now.
Well, time to show that being a Pioneer actually means I know how to fly this thing without much assistance. Screw the Neutrons, screw the 5000ly nav routes. I'm getting there the old fashioned way. 500 or so lightyears at a time.
I call myself a Space Cowboy... so, let's find a trail.
End log.
