Commanders Log; Date: 24-10-3305After a long rest, and a clear head, I decided that it would be best to head back to the nearest station, which was just under 10,000 LY away.
I don't want to die out here.
I looked at my galaxy map, and it just hit me as to how much I am in the middle of no where, a shudder of anxiety fell upon me as I took off to start heading back to civilisation.
There is just nothing out here.
I started heading back, and what do I find? A stowaway. Somehow a dog has managed to sneak on my ship. No idea where from... surely he couldn't be from the planet I landed on? The gravity would have crushed him.
Questions for later... for now, I'm calling him Thor.
We started heading towards Gandharvi... yeah, it's the opposite direction I was heading, but it's the closest station... I don't want to go back to the bubble if I don't have to.
Along the way, we found a beautiful earth like.
Initial scans show signs of indigenous life... but nothing intelligent.
Finding a few water worlds... these are my favourite as they come in all different types
Not to mention Ammonia based worlds...
Can you imagine a water world so big that it has it's own ring? I don't need to anymore, I've seen it
The journey was incredibly long... we did it in one shot without sleep... well, I speak for myself... Thor on the other hand is just lazy
I decided to map out what I journeyed so far, even with the unfortunate accident.
The surrounding stars here are amazing, and so close. It's mind bending falling out of hyperspace into a system that sits in the middle of such a cluster
But finally civilisation... I wasn't gone for long, but it felt like an eternity. I do intend to continue my journey... I want to go around the whole galaxy.
Until then I'm sifting through the data I've acquired. I've got pages and pages of cartography data that the analysts are struggling to digest.
Apparently I've discovered hundreds of systems, which will bear my name... which I think is awesome.
I've made some adjustments to the ship as well to avoid this in the future. I've replaced one of the lower AFMU's and the Supercruise Assist module with a small cargo hold and a repair limpet module.
I've got plenty of materials to synthesise along the way.
For now, I'll sit here for a while as we go through this data.
I've been trying to show the dog to others at this station, but Thor is no where to be found. He must have run off after we landed. No one here believes me about the stowaway, apparently it's making me sound insane. So I'll just drop the subject for now.
For now, signing off. I'll head out into the black after Earth Xmas. I'll celebrate with my newfound allies at Gandharvi. Apparently the council of Colonia is very happy with the data I've provided them.
