It's about damn time: Thirteenth Entry

For the first time since this conflict started, Delta finally managed to land a meaningful blow, and made us lose control of two systems. Took them long enough, was a good bolster to moral, too; finally, a fuckin' fight, even if they don't fight fair. Lavingy's Legion came and went with support; There was a slight communication error with them to start, but that got sorted. If they came a day sooner, though, we probably coulda kept those systems. That's a running theme, communication, as if people can't just talk. Either way, if knowing that one of the largest and most efficient groups in the galaxy supporting us isn't enough of a scare, then boy howdy are they in for a surprise that not even I know what's in store. I got a few ideas, but still loads of red-tape around it all. Still, it's a taste of what's to come if they don't lay off.Really not much else going on in this side of the bubble. I went over old Codex entries on what the Alliance of Independent Systems was supposed to be, and after interacting with a few of the heads I feel they've long strayed from their roots. The Empire is a lot more Alliance from what I seen; Strength in Diversity comes to mind, there are many smaller kingdoms within the Empire. While they don't all always get along, they all serve the Empire as a whole equally and will put aside their differences to fight a common foe. Compare that too current day Alliance, who has one group that towers above all others, and you should get the picture. What happened, what kinda shady back-door deals were made? Why does the Alliance remind me more of The Federation of old entries? Is this why Core Dynamics is trying to buy out Lakon? Even some of the public have been scratchin' their heads about it.
Y'all ain't gonna stop me from writing these. If it's false, then y'all did a piss-poor job portraying otherwise; lookit yerselves from the outside now and then.
Back home there's a new small group that's started up. They've been around for a few months but got REALLY active lately. I'm hoping they'll realized the balance around 'em, and that messing with it would have things come crashing down on their heads. Diplomatic channels have been opened with them, and recently they've taken a rather crappy system that no one really wants.
I was somewhat mistaken when Avali were avian; they apparently are much more similar to old Earth dromaeosauridae, like if raptors had 4 ears, were blind, and had feathers. Aside from the obvious, the only difference between male and female were colors and patterns; Males were more vibrant with stripes, Females more mute with splotches. Guess which type I got stuck with? I think the term is 'gleeful disappointment.' Maybe my drug addicted father was right.
Been typing this as I work, better get back to it before I get in trouble for slackin'.
