Here commander Piper. Today log is about a recent expedition I did with some other commanders, Commander Servantrix and Commander M()()se.
The objective was to reach the Sadr nebula and then head to the pelican and north America nebula. The idea was to go at our own pace, a relaxed trip
to see some beautiful gas clouds.
I did some research and found out a really nice route with plenty sites to visit.
I'll include some images in this log.
The first location I visited was an incredible alien site. It's located in the HIP 15134 system if I recall correctly.
I parked just in the outer limits of the site and then I took some pictures of the ship with the drone. Then I took the SRV and procceded to what seemed
to be the main structure. There was plenty drones arround the central structure and some data points I took a closer look at (I managed to get some data).
I could not reach the inside of the main structure but beeing in the outisde was already awesome.
Later I reached an abandoned research site, I can't upload the transmisions I recived here but hearing the story of the research staff and how the
main galactic powers treat some discovery was really speciall.
I dont have any outstanding pictures of my visit, it was during night time and light was lacking.
After some more jumps I located a planet with a plant similar to a pumpkin. I can't remember the name but it was really cool being in the dark arround them.
Here is a picture:
Also I found a black hole in a nearby system. The constant fear of falling into an infinite death could not overcome my curosity and made me get closer until my
ship computer saved me by stopping the engines and the ship itself in very edge of the no-return point. Staring in the black really made me think about some
deep things I usually don't.
One small waypoint was the dumbell nebula, the colors were really calming. Ranging from light blues to violets and purples with a really beautiful water planet
and a white star. It was really relaxing and different from all the black I've seen so far. Also I was surprised by a lot of tourist ships.
And here is a small picture of a break I took in a nearby planet.
Finally the end of the journey, at least the first station. The Sadr nebula, from the outside it had a greenish colour with black and red accents.
This is a photo I took just before reaching my destination.
That has been a lot so far, but there is still some places I reached that were beautiful. The first was the station I landed in the Sadr nebula, it was the first asteroid station
I visited and it was very special.
I wanted to take some photographs of the last two nebulas I visited but the drone had some problems and the image quality was very very bad.
So the last picture I took was during my return, I took a neutron star highway that was nearby and since I've never seen a neutron star I took a closer look.
The bright blue almost caused me a problem in the eyes but I managed to use something to protect me from the light.
That was all the expedition. At least the most important parts and the ones I got a picture of.
For now I'll stay in my home system for a while until I head back to the dark.
See you out there commanders!
