Witch Queen Log #2

Successful planet fall made on Merope 5C. I touched down in an area of rich mineral deposit, in the hopes of possibly locating an unknown 'Barnacle' site. 
After powering down and securing the ship, I departed in SRV 1 to survey the surrounding area upto a 30km distance. Apart from falling off the edge of a cliff, I unfortunately was unable to find any anomalies. Even after relocating to several new areas and carrying out an extensive search pattern, my search was in vain. (I noted a lack of federation vessels from the planet. Whether this is in light of recent Imperial statements or whether I just happened to be lucky I'm not certain)
I returned to the Witch Queen, after my last sweep and made ready to depart, after cataloguing the various minerals I had picked up.
