The Rescue

I was out and about in the Bubble doing some parts shopping and cleaning up some Engineer pins for future ship builds. When I visited Ram Tah in the Meene star system is when my adventure began.I modified some defense for dealing with missile attacks from the Thargoids, but I noticed that I could not fuel or repair at this station. Usually, I like to "throw a few coins" to my Engineers for them providing such a wonderful, yet overly complicated system of making my ships better.
When I finished my business with Ram Tah, I attempted to leave, as one does, yet I couldn't seem to get my frame shift drive to actually "engage" and leave the system. After several attempts at different methods of jumping out, I turned around and travelled all the way back down to Ram Tah's Phoenix Base to try another method of exiting the system after I rebooted all of my systems.
Nothing seemed to be working, and a reboot was impossible as the reboot key "esc" was non-functional. I had to take drastic measures and disembark the craft. I thought surely Ram Tah would know what is going on here since this is obviously some sort of malfunction with my newly built Xeno-Reaper warship.
Once I exited the craft, I became all hazy in pure darkness. Nothing but black, and hearing my footsteps opening a door repeatedly for a few minutes before I just closed my eyes and hoped all would be well.
When I regained consciousness, I was suddenly outside the station. Not just outside, I seemed to be under the station in my space suit. I wasn't sure what to do at this point so I walked around until I found a way out from the underbelly of the station. As I had not exited my ship properly, I had none of the essentials you need out in space, so I was a bit nervous about what was going on or how I would survive this adventure. I needed to go quite a ways away from the base to call a taxi or call my ship. It was over 2,000 meters, and I didn't have enough suit power or oxygen to make the distance required for a self rescue.
As luck would have it, I had a Vortex Squadron Commander out at the front lines of the Thargoid war. I reached out to him for suggestions as to what my next steps should be. After going through all of his suggestions, we determined that the best course of action should be to come and see if he can pick me up in either a ship or SRV. I was down to 40 percent battery power, and I had been walking through dark caves for quite some time, and eventually I came out of the blackness at the entrance of the cave I had fallen into previously.
I patiently waited as CMDR Highlnder flew very far to attempt to rescue me from this crazy Hellscape I was currently involved with. His ship appeared in the distance, I was so relived, but the place I was standing wasn't exactly "landing friendly". CMDR Highlnder wiggled and maneuvered the ship like a pro and found a spot he could land safely. I boarded his ship, and we went to Ram Tah thinking I could just disembark and pick up my Anaconda.
Well, that didn't work. My disembark panel said that me exiting the ship was "restricted by the station". I knew I had not committed any crimes, so I wondered what was going on. Did Ram Tah just steal my super expensive anti-xeno Anaconda? I was frustrated at this point, but we came up with another Idea. We would fly to a neighboring station, and I would simply send the ship to that location.
Surely that would be the way out right? Well you would be right. The ship was delivered in about 5 minutes with everything in tact. I boarded my ship and thanked CMDR Highlnder for the assistance. He headed back out to the war and I went back about my business.
I will eventually contact Ram Tah about this issue, and see about getting some compensation for our troubles, but for now, I need the new ship out in the front lines, defending humanity from impending doom.
