Starting a new logbook after my old one was wiped in that damned Lagrange storm cloud. I'll try to keep things up to date, I suppose, but I'm busy, so this will be the "cliff notes" version, whatever that means. Short, I think.
A long time ago, many things happened that I would rather not talk about. I'm sure anyone who cares can figure it out with my public records back in the bubble. All that matters is that I ended up in Colonia, with nothing but a few credits and a Diamondback explorer called the Pinto to my name. I immediately left on a few short exploration trips, and returned with a heaping pile of data that got me into a Krait MKII. I tried mining, and even dipped back into bounty hunting for a spell, but nothing felt as good as those jaunts into the unexplored shallows of the galaxy. I knew I had to go further, deeper. When I got word of an expedition that planned to travel halfway around the milky way, I signed on and shipped out. Which brings me to now.
I'm docked with a fleet carrier in orbit around a nice gas giant with plentiful tritium reserves, a short hop from Sagittarius A*. The group I'm with is a forward party for the Odyssey expedition, awaiting the main fleets arrival in a few weeks time. I have been using the carrier as a mobile base of sorts, and have so far made five (or was it six?) short forays into the unexplored portions of the galactic core. I have seen so many wonderful things, and my awe is second only to my anticipation.
Further logs will follow.
How's that for notes, Cliff? Whoever you are...
