Azaladshu. Freedom at a cost.

UTC 0730. It was a long night...The opfor was in fine form, staying in groups and taking points simultaneously. I tried to rally the men, but fervor just isn't the same as true grit. Soon the patriotism fled when the odds of success tanked, and my backup just wasn't good enough. I'm not an idiot; I hid.
I hid on a capture point. I did it again. Suddenly the charts say that Yoshida Botanical Garden isn't good for anybody. Anybody but Rhudran. I used line of sight. I nixed the flashlight. I knew time was my ally and my enemy. I needed them to fan out to try to find me. I needed distance, and I used the charge ports on the borders.
My heart is racing. It's fouling up my aim. This L-6 is killing my arms, but my enemies too. My blood is on fire. Wait...the suit is definitely working harder. Dawn is coming!
I managed about one good ambush for every third botched one. Fortunately, I think I got at least another ten in me before the suit gives up entirely. Where's that power socket?
Mother Star, finally. Two dupes left; their best. I guess they're someone else's all-stars. Just two more targets; I can finally drop the launcher. C'mere, Lightbug. Shield's gone, time to rip up the suit with bullets. One more. I can do it. No more cat and mouse. Let's see what the cat thinks of this bilge-rat!
My protective darkness flees from the local star, rising up the horizon at its usual rapid rate. The dropship is on its way down, after a confused battle co-ordinator agreed to take my call. I can just about taste that funky Muang mouthwash I like so much. Another 6 and a half million in combat bonds. These yokels think I'm a hero. I'm just a man with a gun and a name to make. COVAS, save this one. I finally have something to write home about.
...
COVAS, do you remember where home is? I should check my travel log.
