Into the Black

LOG 1:

9th FEB 3309

This is CMDR TRANQUIL (BORGGY), pilot of the Traveller's Dream II; a spiritual successor to my old ship (Traveller's Dream, an Asp Explorer), and I am recording this log to consolidate a beginning of a new journey, back into the black. I've had my fair share of battles in this Thargoid War, and they'll probably be more. But from this time forward, I am taking a hiatus from that service.

The Black has called out to me once again. My very first journey began around September time, 2015 (3301), in where went out to explore the stars in deep space. In my distant memory I went to some fascinating places, and luckily I took photos of those places, which I have stored on here. The classics. I've been to the centre of the galaxy and even the early days of Colonia, before it was even called that.

Though now with my new Krait Phantom, tinkered here and there, and a fresh desire to explore yet again. This series of logs will show you (as well as serve as memory for me) my new journey into the black, where we will visit sights I have never seen before, and along the way, perhaps pay a visit to a few old ones.

I suppose the ultimate goal of this series is for me to get to Beagle Point (but not a priority). I've been to centre before, but never to the other side of the galaxy.

Anyhow, I'll start with a photo from Col 359 Sector UM-T c4-6, in the background is CB-1 Argon's Reach, a megaship, designated as the first point of the well known; Colonia Bridge. More info: https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Colonia_Bridge

However, I won't be strictly following the bridge, they'll be plenty of diversion I'm sure, speaking of which...as I had left Argon's Reach I set a course to Prae Euq GK-Y b30-0. I'm here now as of writing this log. What's special about this place you ask? Well, the second planet of the system has been dubbed as "Planet Wilson", as back in 3302, a CMDR known as Bomba Luigi set out onto short expedition of his own and came upon this planet, piqued by its canyon-like features. In one of these canyons, he lost his ship, becoming stranded. CMDRs from all over the bubble to meet the lonely CMDR. Eventually, Luigi was able to return to the bubble.

Here's more info on the historical event: https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/3366255/name/Praea+Euq+GK-Y+b30-0

Unfortunately (due to Odyssey I suppose), Wilson's features have changed drastically and no longer has the deep canyons it once had. Nevertheless, it is a cold, dim-lit, and isolated place you might as well find a rock and draw a face on it.

I believe my next stop of interest will be M7 Sector IF-S b19-4, otherwise known as " Haldane's Hypothesis".
