BOELTS AO-F D12-2964
BOELTS AO-F D12-2964 10 is a Jovian gas giant, a massive planet with dozens of storms spotting it's glorious ringed atmosphere. It's untouched metal and ice rings set the perfect scene from the seat of this lone explorer. Though there are other gas giants in the system, many more pristine, and even a handful of land capable moons, this particular gas giant piqued my interest with it's unusual pattern of storms.
BOELTS LP-M D8-557
A Blue giant looms over it's moons, all of them orbiting in a single perfect plane. Their lock step revolution around their stellar leader hides from them it's most beautiful feature, the pair of dusty rings that may have made for another rocky brother.
BLUA EAEC AA-A H74 - Goibniu Nebula (Gov-new)
The nebula is a rich cloud of hydrogen and helium, producing hundreds if not thousands of brilliant blue-white stars, red giants, and the occasional failed brown dwarf. This landmark sits roughly in the last quarter of the trip from Sol to the Colonia Nebula, appearing first as a dark spot agains the galactic core before resolving into a glorious fire of stellar creation.
From without it's hard to see the nebula without it's many stars, but its bright pinks and reds still make for a wonderful sight. If you choose to pass through the nebula rather than circle around, you're welcomed with a crimson glow from the hydrogen clouds as well as a regular bounty of class A stars to fuel up at.
BLUA EAEC AA-A H74 is a forge, where new stars are brought to life from the fires of their old and dying. It's given the nickname Goibniu (read: Gov-new) after an ancient Celtic God, the blacksmith of the Tuatha de Denann, rumored to hold the secret to eternal health and wellness.
From here I start my Bucky Ball run for checkpoint 7.6 and the detour I'll be taking out to H0 and H2
Unfortunately I wound up flying too close to a couple of stars on my way out here, lost all of my cargo... What a waste of all that wonderful Jaques' Spirit.
I managed to make it to Checkpoint 7.6 in one piece, though I've got a couple of scorch marks. I started the detour out towards H0 and H2, picking a another nebula in my path to document and name. Think I'll spend some time looking for Neutron stars nearby for those future highways. About halfway through my 41 jumps to target I realized I hadn't been watching my fuel and might have been falling asleep. Thankfully I landed at an F Class and fueled up before powering down for sleep.
