September 28, 3308After 22 hours of searching the equatorial region of the planet I finally found the crash site of Jacob C Church. The ship is a complete wreck but still salvageable. I found cmdr Jacob sitting in the cockpit talking to his computer. I took him back to my ship and checked him out. Outside of being somewhat cooked by the sun he seems to be fine. I went back outside to place a beacon so Jacob can come back later to salvage what’s left and to retrieve the chip containing the ship’s computer. I finished after an hour of work and returned to my ship then took off for the Horizon.
