Black Treasure

14 Feb 2019Mark Graham
As Lynn and I headed back into the black, we decided to travel to "Black Treasure", the famous black hole in the area. It wasn't TOO far out of the way, and it provided a sight seeing event to break up the monotany. I'm glad that we don't have to worry about the ridiculous gravitational pull like those pilots of long ago. I've read stories of those early pilots getting too close and being sucked into the event horizon. Not a pretty picture. Thankfully, technology has came a LONG way from THOSE days. After seeing the black hole, we set our course for the next station en route to Colonia. I keep getting comm from other pilots, commending me about making this journey in a Corvette...lol. True, the Corvette doesn't have the jump range of the smaller ships, but this makes me only jump 17 LY on average and I'm getting tons of scan data from the undiscovered systems that everyone else has just jumped by. I'll be collecting big at my next stop.
