CMDR PAUSANIAS - THE SHIP OF THE MIND EXPEDITION - DAY 48
26 Sep 2020Pausanias
Hi Cmdrs,Nice bit of cake that Cook, can I have another at 5000 systems I wonder?!
I just thought I'd drop this image in, its the CLOOKUIA AA-A H35 Nebula I left yesterday from 500 ltyrs away.
I then sent The Carl Sagan off to BLAA HYPE YN-F B25-0 which is 28 jumps for the Cutter and would you believe it the first had just one ringed planet in it annnnnnd, yes you’ve guessed it, a Tritium hotspot round it, so I’ve dropped in there tonight and spent the evening mining.
Having got what I needed I had about 15 minutes to spare to carry on the journey so I jumped through about 5 additional systems and decided to find somewhere to land for the evening and roll out my sleeping bag. I chose this pink/red coloured moon of a blue planet and by accident caught the Nebula in the shot at the foot . . .
As I approached the planet it was latticed with deep valleys and as I got down lower I thought shall I land on one of those really thin ridge tops I can see in front of me? I decided to go for the slightly wider part. If I go out in the SRV tomorrow I’d better stay away from the edge! I flew over a valley to see if I could gauge the depth, I reckon about 4km deep.
Total Carrier jump distance since 10th August: 15,500 ltyrs - (Personal note: 30 jumps on 25 Sept)
Total Ship jump so far: 34,407 ltyrs
Total planets Level 3 scanned: 11,428
Total exploration data: 316,500,000 credits
Total systems with my name on: 2549
The Cutter is now 12,900 ltyrs away from Sol - This is the same as last night practically as I am arcing around Sol now
The wonderous place I’m heading for is TRA X-1 which is 5500 ltyrs away at the moment, perhaps it’s a pseudonym for RAXXLA?
