The Human Liberation Movement

I find myself in Sol, but not for the same reasons as most others. I am not here to deliver goods or partake in the celebrations. I am here for a much more monumental reason. It is time to show the faceless corporations and the tyrants who purvey false liberty that they are not safe. They cannot hide, not even in the heart of their domain. So arrogant are they, so complacent are they, that they lifted the permit lock on Sol in the name of their celebrations, but did not increase security in any meaningful way. And so I have smuggled myself into the system and begun striking at the heart of the Federation.Surprisingly, it seems I am not the only one. Local comms traffic indicates that there are many discontent commanders and pirates taking advantage of the opportunity. Most are here for simple reasons; boredom, loot, chaos, etc. But whatever their reasons, they have effectively created a screen which I have managed to use as a cover for my operations. One by one, Federal policymakers, officers, administrators, governors, and lieutenants have fallen to my blade. My biggest surprise? How easy it has been. I expected more security, here in the heart of the Federation. What I have seen is perhaps a handful of Omnipol agents, backed up by security personnel that make the local rent-a-cop agency look like elite mercenaries.
So sure of their throne, these tyrants are. So complacent they are. Have they ever been so challenged? Am I really the first to make such bold moves? The anarchists in space gunning down traders, truckers, and even each other whine about the most inane things while inadvertently enabling me to unravel the infrastructure of the system from where all our ancestors came. The Federation has remade it in their image, but they cannot erase history. They tried it with my people but I survived to carry it forward. And now, it has become a symbol. For here, in Sol, the birthplace of mankind, the Human Liberation Movement has begun. We bring down the corrupt leaders and raise up the people. Here it begins, but it will not end until all humans are free of distant masters. Until the day that every system governs itself in peace.
Since arriving in the system, I have heard many citizens speak of long hours, sleepless nights, stress illnesses, and depression. My words have moved some, but most are still willing to die for their corrupt masters. At least I was able to put them out of their misery. Those who saw the wisdom in my words have begun to reconsider their lives. Most of these seem inclined to leave Sol at the earliest opportunity, and those who stay will begin organizing an underground resistance in Sol. Perhaps the destruction of many installations here helped them make these decisions.
But I am no fool. I know that, despite my actions here, the damage I cause and the disruption I create are only temporary things. It will not take long for the Federation to repair these broken installations, or rebuild the destroyed settlements, but that isn't the point. I am here to show the galaxy that we can strike anywhere and that the iron grip of the superpowers is not as strong as they make it seem. In the coming days, fires will burn across Sol. Debris will litter the skies, and the shadow of consequence will hover over the heads of the damned corporatists. While they celebrate, a glimmer of fear will infect their hearts as they look upon their fellow citizens. Will they see loyal supporters, or suspect that they are part of our resistance? That doubt is, by itself, enough, I think. It will have to be. No matter what I do with this time, there is only so much I can expect to achieve in the short term. I hope that the seeds of sedition I plant today will blossom into a weed of chaos that will fuel the fires of revolution when the time is right. But I must be patient. The task ahead is monumental, and bigger than myself. Perhaps others of like mind will see the destruction and realize that this great monster that is the Federation can bleed, and therefore can be killed. Perhaps.
