Colonia Galleon Project Progress Report #01
As of this entry, the Urca is carrying 366 tons of cargo, distributed among 63 different Rare Goods from across the Bubble, with 51 Rares still pending for purchase.
I’ve made some adjustments to my preliminary cargo manifest on the fly, adding 8 extra items to it - items that shouldn’t be illegal at Jaques, namely more booze and tobacco products. This brings the total Rares in my shopping list list up to 114. Variety is, after all, the spice of life!
I still plan to dock at Abe Lincoln in Sol once I have a full cargo hold, but I have to be careful when docking and leaving for Colonia, as I’ll be carrying a few products that are illegal there. Don’t wish fines taking a cut of my potential profits!
While obviously I’ve been interdicted by pirates several times by now - having to submit and escape at least half a dozen times due to the Urca’s sluggish turn rate getting in the way of evading successfully - so far they have been quite few and far in between. I thought that, by this point, I would be jumped by lowlifes every other hyperdrive jump, but I can do on average 6 or so hops before I get those “tasty cargo” warnings.
If everything goes as planned, I should be done with the shopping runs by Thursday at the latest. Also, for the duration of the project (or at least the Sol-Colonia journey) I’m planning to go live on my streaming channel at least three times a week.
