My End to Fighting the Blight

Well, as promised, got the T9 up and running. Made a few deliveries of Agronomic Treatment from George Lucas Station in Leesti System to Watson Station in the Orerve system. I even had some help. Comms was working pretty good for once and had a couple of other skippers holler. So we winged up and started running. It was Free in his Cutter and Cow and I in our T9's. We hauled a bunch of supplies. Free started having problems with his auto dock and was rubbing the bottom of his ship while arriving Watson fully loaded. So he had to end early to fix the scratches in his fancy paintjob. He said there was no way he was going back out with it looking the way it was. Last time I saw him, he had overalls on carrying a can of paint. What I really think he was doing, he's gonna yank the docking computer out, stick it in the can, and auto-launch it right out the mail slot. He was not happy. So, Cow and I did a couple of more runs and noticed that the profit was starting to drop. Not a lot. I mean when you're getting the money we was, you can't really complain. Anyway, Cow decided that it was time to take on the Panem crew in the combat zones. I told him that he's gonna a fighting ship and don't try it in the T9. Told him the troubles I had. So, quick trip, and we are in the zone. Both with our Vette's and fighter backup. First round was a win. Not sure what happened in the second. All I know is that I was able to get out with my hair. Fifteen, yup, 15 percent hull left when I pulled back into the station. After talking with the monkey wrench crew, guess I'm gonna be stuck here for a few days. You would think that if they hollered for help in taking the bad guys out, they would have a stock pile of parts to fix the good guys that might get torn up. What I do know is that the food processer in the galley took a round and doesn't work no more. Not that it really worked to start with. Going to have to see what this place does for food. I mean it's a Coriolis Starport, it's gotta have some good chow. Since they said it'll be 3, maybe 4, days before they can get my Vette working again. So I figured I'll look for Cow and we'd investigate the food here. His ship was here, but no sign of him. Guessing he went on the hunt before me. That's all right. Don't blame him at all. It's been a long day and a guy has gotta eat, right? Wonder what kind of processer he has in his ship.....
