Ram Tah: So, the syncing issue has been resolved, correct?

Dynahi: Yeah, for the most part anyway. It's currently stable at ninety-nine point seven percent, but Ten is able to keep at a hundred.

Ram Tah: Really, how are you able to pull that off, Ten?

Ten-O: Um, I had to physically connect...er...plug my brain into the drive because I was having some trouble monitoring and adjusting the algorithms by wireless.

Ram Tah: You don't feel any discomfort in doing that?

Ten-O: Mmmmm-no... I also have Dr. Koyoto monitoring my health.

Dr. Koyoto: They're called vitals, Ten.

Ten-O: Oh, that too! Heheh.

Ram Tah: Okay, so syncing and the excessive heat are the only complications so far?

Dynahi: Yes, but don't worry about the heat issue. We have installed multiple heat sinks for this first test.

Ram Tah: Excellent! I guess we can begin the process.

Dynahi: Okay. Initializing recording...now!

COVAS: *RECORDING TEST CASE*

Dynahi: This is Admiral Dynahi Khavu proceeding with Test Case One-C for experimental FSD noted for the record as the Guardian Nexus Drive for a long range jump test. Test bed is being carried out on the PFV Longinus FFH-2300. Test case is being carried out approximately five hundred kilometers away from Jaques Station with target destination set at two hundred and forty-eight light years. All participating lead personnel, please voice your name and purpose for the record, starting with our long-distance guest.

Ram Tah: Ram Tah reporting from Phoenix Base via quantum entanglement communications. Engineer extraordinaire and primary creator of the Guardian Nexus Drive. I will be monitoring the Longinus' progress with the drive.

Dynahi: James, get a distress signal out. Situation is that our ship is badly damaged with multiple system failures, our FSD is gone and cannot jump, and we might need immediate medical assistance. Also, try to get Ram Tah and Jeng on the line.

James: Way ahead of you.

Dynahi: Gotta get rid of this heat. Launching heat sinks. All stations report in.

Caroline: Sir, we're losing power. Dropping down to forty-six percent capacity.

Dynahi: Shutting down all non-essentials.

COVAS: *SHIELDS OFFLINE!* *WEAPON SYSTEMS OFFLINE!*

Dynahi: Oh...crap...

James: Something to add to the distress signal, sir?

Dynahi: That jump took out ninety-seven percent of our fuel...

Caroline: ...

James: ...

Dynahi: James...um...reconfigure efforts to get the Q.E.C. back online and get me a Fuel Rat before the power plant runs our remaining supply dry.

James: Sir, I still haven't figured out where we are yet. The navigation system is acting weird.

Dynahi: Um...alright, I'll check the galaxy map and figure out what's...

Maela: Astrometrics reporting in...*heavy breathing*...Johnson's KIA... I'm...*heavy breathing*...I'm bleeding...from my...*heavy breathing*...I need help...

Dynahi: We hear you. Caroline, can you deploy a nurse droid to astrometrics?

Caroline: I can't seem to connect to them. The connection must be damaged.

Dynahi: Alright, I'll head there myself. Caroline, help James find out where we are. I want to know if we made to the designated system or not, because I don't see a blinding-hot ball outside.

Caroline: I'm on it.

Dynahi: Alright, keep me posted.

Dr. Koyoto: Dr. Koy here reporting from engineering...*heavy breathing*...I have multiple personnel with second and third degree burns and more broken bones that i can count...*heavy breathing*...I already have two KIA in here.

Dynahi: Good to hear you, doctor. What are your injuries?

Dr. Koyoto: *cough* Right femur is busted and a mild concussion. I'm doing the best I can under the circumstances.

Dynahi: What about Ten?

Dr. Koyoto: He's unconscious but stable...*heavy breathing*...his vitals went all over the place during the test run...*heavy breathing*...had to pull the plug out of him.

Dynahi: Alright, doc, I'm heading to astrometrics. Maela said that she is bleeding.

Dr. Koyoto: Did she say where?

Dynahi: She was about to say, but she sounds way too injured to speak coherently.

Dr. Koyoto: Get to her immediately! My hands are full here and I can't access my medical droids!

Dynahi: On it! James, you have the conn.

James: Aye, sir! Wait... Sir! I've picked up an unknown ship coming in requesting wing and beacon!

Dynahi: Unknown?

James: I.F.F. reader is damaged. Trying to manually make it out.

Dynahi: I'll take the risk. Caroline, accept the request. James, can we open a short range comms chanel?

James: Comms are still wonky, but you can try to get something out to them.

Dynahi: This is Admiral Dynahi of the PFV Longinus, requesting immediate assistance. Please identify.

???: Th...*static*...*static*...we...*static*...

James: I got something. P...F...V...wait...Y..O... Yozora...NX-98270.

Dynahi: An experimental Pilot's Federation craft all the way out here? Must be on a secret mission.

Maela: Maela to bridge.

Dynahi: Shit! Maela! I'm coming to assist you!

Maela: I've stopped the bleeding, but you need to hear this!

Dynahi: What is it?

Maela: We're not in Colonia space anymore.

Dynahi: What...? Are you sure?

Maela: I'm very sure. I've run diagnostics multiple times...*groans of pain*...and it's saying that we're more than three thousand light seconds from the star of the Ganiklis system. Sir...*heavy breathing*...it says that we're back in the occupied bubble!

James: Sir! The Yozora has dropped out in front of us.

Dynahi: Oooooh boy... Maela, I'm coming to you. James, you have the conn.

James: Aye sir!

Jane: Hmmm...I'm going to have to prep the Yozora's next. Computer, end session and close all open files.
