Eleventhousand Sixhundred Light Years From Home

Some progress has been made and I'm approaching the edge of the Outer Arm from the inner side. Of course this means soon I'll slow down again thanks to the great gulf between the Outer Arm and my next milestone on the road home: The Perseus Arm.It also doesn't help that my ship's computer still has this weird malfunction where the CQC Championship-systems are added into my route. Completely nonsensically. Apparently every time I connect to the virtual championship, my computer thinks the datastream from the bubble comes from my own sensors and adds fake entries into my flight logs. I really have to remember to pay someone to take a look at this.
Anyway, I'm still 11600 light years from my old port of Lembava. The news from back home are weird, though. Never mind the Empire and the Federation having new leaders now or this weird ongoing thing with unknown artifacts being found, it looks like Li Yong-Rui has forgotten his promises about exploration.
As I see it, the Sirius Corporation hasn't done much for the exploration of the galaxy in the last few months. Even the plan to build a new station in the Pleiades Nebula was organized by some other organization I've never heard about.
If it wasn't for my wish to try those weird missile launchers the Sirius Corporation sells to valued followers, I'd seriously consider dumping my long-term contract with him. I have my mercenary-friends to support too, after all.
Hopefully during the weeks of travel I still have to endure he starts to remember why we explorers support him.
