"Too busy to be scared."

20 May 2018CelticSpartan01
Well I sure have been busy, Coolj had some things to take care of on station so I decided to try go bounty hunting by myself, what could go wrong? Right? I mean, my ship is bigger than his and has better weapons, yea, makes sense, until you take into account his ship is MADE for combat and so is much more maneuverable than my Asp Explorer.

Didn't die, obviously, here I am talking to my ship's log/myself, but I did almost need to replace the cockpit seat in my ship due to a near large feces dump when I went into a high risk resource zone and saw there were no federal agents, nothing but wanted pilots and some very brave, or, very stupid miners.
It was just a free for all, wanted pilots killing each other to see who could survive and leave with their credits.
I swear, these guys had/have no value for their lives.

So I was going to try and take a couple bounties and then leave, until.. I saw a wing of 3, an Ana-f*cking-conda and two Type-10 Defenders and they were obliterating Everyone!
So I got the hell outta there, thankfully, without a scratch.

So I was wide awake and no telling how long my wingman was going to be, figured i'd find another way to make some money and boy did I, though it came with some bit of annoyance.

I started taking million+ credit missions to take people around site seeing, yea, sounds simple enough, except one guy had me jumping around for almost 1,000 light year, including the trip back to our original starting point.
But, there were some pros to this, I got my exploration rank up to "Surveyor", made at Least 3 million credits for scanning every system I went to (That's not including the 2.5 mil I made for the mission.) AND I got to see some very beautiful and interesting sights, one of which told about something that I heard about even as little as I kept up with current events, the story of Salome. It was sad, but interesting none the less to see the planet that the Federation and Empire fought over for over a century and all surrounding Salome.

i've included some pictures I took with my ships ocular observation lense if anyone reads these, if not, it'll be for me.
The first one here is a beautiful liveable planet, then there's the actual cannon research center.
The last is me using a camera drone to show myself mining and those brilliant purple mining lasers.

After jumping around the galaxy for over 7 hours (And that was hauling ass, only stopping to A rate my frame shift drive) I figured "Wow, i've probably been way outside "the bubble", so I went and looked at the galaxy map.. Nope, didn't even get to the edge, the galaxy is so big it's mind boggling and to think, this is only one galaxy among trillions.. insane..

I got SO bored that when I knew my passangers were asleep, so they wouldn't complain (Not that I think they would have, they were actually very nice and polite for people with so much money.) that I began to check out encoded emissions that I would randomly come up on.
The debres fields, honestly creeped me the f*ck out.. Someone, some, people, had died in these places, probably violently and painfully.. maybe.. worse..
But, it was worth it, I obtained some materials and data transmission which might help catch the people that commited these attacks.. Annnd.. I also found an escape pod and the occupant was alive!
I was actually pretty happy to be able to help save someone, but, I'm no doctor, so I didn't attempt to open it and I couldn't see inside, but the display panel said they were alive, so I dropped it off at the next station I came across. Hope they'll be okay..

I have had enough of taking rich tourist around, for a while anyway- OH! I almost forgot! I recieved two messages from 2 engineers, I don't know much about them but aparrantly, they work with pilots and help them, for a price, it seems I impressed them, somehow.
So I set my ship up for mining with the money i'd made so far, since I need some compunds and materials so the engineers can upgrade my equipment.

This Asp Explorer really is multi-purpose and makes a nice mining ship.
Mining is so relaxing, especially since I took some advice from the guy at the station who handled my ship refit, which was A rating my ship (Except for thrusters) and acquiring mining equipment such as collector limpets, prospector limpets, a refinery, and two medium mining lasers.

He said "Listen here kid, you don't go to the resource extraction zones, ever! You go straight towards the rings in a random spot away from those zones, just before ya hit the rings, slow down to minimal super cruise speeds, doooon't worry, your ship will automatically drop you out of super cruise when it detects an imminent impact is going to occur, you might lose your lunch the first time, but if you're gonna be a miner, you'll get used to it, you'll have to."

I didn't puke, almost did though, damn it's violent when ya drop outta super cruise like that!

Mining is relaxing but almost as lonely as long treks across the galaxy, fortunately, I found these radio stations "Sidewinder radio", "Hutton Radio", and "Lave Radio", those good people keep me company.

So anyway, there's where i'm at currently, annnd looks like my collection drones are finished, better get to the next asteroid.

Commander Bradley out.
