Commander's Personal Entry - October 28th, 3303

28 Oct 2017Orion Starhunter
As I sit here on the bridge of the newly purchased, outfitted, and engineered, Type-9 Heavy, I reflect back to when I started this journey.

Wasn't too long ago that an old friend came to me at LHS 3447, walked up to the Sidewinder I had sitting on the platform, cleared his throat, and said, "you really going to explore space in that thing?"

We both laughed, and with Cmdr. Indigowyrd's help, I was able to put some funds together to get a better ship to start exploring the universe the right way.
Cmdr. Indigowyrd and I have been friends for well over 20 years.  We both share the same passion and love for the stars as we did when we were kids.
I have to say that if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have now.  It would have taken a bit more time.

That being said, as a Commander, I am very grateful for all the support and help I have been offered, which is why we work well as a team.
While I don't always go on missions with Cmdr. Indigowyrd, one thing we do is stay in contact.  Subspace comms have improved over the last millennia, and it's always nice to talk to a friend when you're on missions alone.

So that's how all this started, and now I am planning another mission to LHS 2661-6 with the new Type-9 Heavy for what I hope to be a cargo hold full of Painite, Pallatium, and Platinum.   I did a shake down run this evening, and all systems seem to be functioning normally.  I have had both the Widowmaker (Fer-de-Lance) shipped here, along with the Aurora Sagittarius (Python).  All 3 are great ships.  Well, I'm going to turn in for the evening.  Just thought I should note a special thank you to an old friend for helping out and always being there.
