Commander's Log:

The clock has just passed midnight, and the day feels heavier than most. Reflecting on the evacuation mission brings a mix of pride and frustration. We did all we could, ferrying souls from Sol until Titan Cocijo’s arrival threw everything into chaos. The plan fell apart in the wake of that monstrosity’s assault. What once felt like a desperate but orderly mission became pure bedlam.

When it became clear that our passenger ships were of little use in the face of the Thargoid onslaught, Ramforth and I redirected our fleet carriers to the Synuefe sector. The mission pivoted sharply: acquire Guardian technology and components essential for crafting the most advanced AX ships humanity can field. Many Vikings rallied to this effort, driven by our shared purpose.

Yet our numbers are divided, each group following their chosen path. Some still work the evacuation routes in systems surrounding Sol, ensuring no one is left behind. Others have taken to bounty hunting, cleaning out the scum who exploit humanity’s desperation for personal gain. And then, there are those of us who stand at the forefront, battling the Thargoids directly—Ramforth, Skandragon, Aerondir, and myself.

Yesterday, we tested our mettle in combat zones. The results were humbling. Gone were the days of dominance, when my Kraken, Ramforth’s Corvette Týr, and Aerondir and Skand’s Anacondas swept through human conflict zones with ease. Against the Thargoids, we barely made it out alive. Hull integrity in tatters and with a sobering realization: we have more to learn, more to prepare.

My own build is complete now. Solar Valkyrie is as fine-tuned as she’ll ever be, bristling with Guardian AX technology and engineered to her limits. I've ventured wingless into AX combat zones, relying on nothing but my skill, the grit of the Valkyrie, and the occasional assistance from system defense forces. But let’s be honest—it’s not the same without my wing, without the familiarity and trust of those I know.

Skand, Ram, and Aero remain in Synuefe, scavenging the last pieces of this crucial puzzle. From there, they’ll negotiate with engineers across the bubble, securing upgrades with the sheer force of Viking determination. They’ll join me soon enough.

For now, I fight alone. Diving into the fray, carving through Thargoids one at a time, only to limp back to INNHERRED with hull integrity hanging by a thread. Today, I hit a milestone: 100 Thargoids slain. It’s a satisfying number, a mark of my efforts to hold the line while others prepare.

But even victories feel hollow without my brothers and sisters by my side. The weight of this war is heavy, and it grows heavier with each passing day. Tonight, I rest and recoup at INNHERRED, knowing reinforcements are on their way. The Gugnir AXIS wing will reunite soon. When that time comes, we’ll take the fight to the Thargoids in earnest.

For Valhaling. For humanity.
