Appropriate Response
13 Dec 2024DK-Ardok
As I understand it, some of this war, and the previous war with the Thargoids is our fault. However, as I've said in previous logs, we fight for survival and not all of us deserve to be wiped out. Most of us were innocent until the war came to us again. I don't care where any of you stand, whether you're for the Federation, the Achenar Empire, the Alliance or some "Independent" power. What's more important, here, is humanity. If Sol falls, the Federation falls and along with it many of the core worlds outside of the Federation. Thargoid Titan Cocijo moving into the Sol system is a statement of human eradication. If life must be wiped out in Sol, we must give the bugs the appropriate response. Typically, I would be out in the black, exploring, but because of Cocijo, I'm in a neighboring system to Sol offering the Fleet Carrier Nidhogg as a temporary staging point to all Anti-Xeno pilot fighters and have done multiple bombing runs on the titan.I'm a part of the many commanders out there who will not just stand by while billions of lives are at risk. They want to bring the fight to us? Fine. It's time to respond. We will not be wiped out without a fight. We stand on the precipice of great success or great ruin and must endeavor to overcome this war. My squadron has contributed their efforts on their ends as well and have done more than fight the titan. These times, I find myself growing as a fighter and a pilot. During the first titan, Taranis, I was not skilled enough or knowledgeable enough to partake in this tradition of preserving humanity. So I observed and did my best as a gunner and observer. While there are a great many commanders who are superior to me in skill, I salute all who have taken the time and sacrifice to represent humanity, no matter who any represent. For better or for worse, we must preserver. Many innocents on both sides have been taken in this war. While this may make some of you think that I would try and broker a peace with the Thargoids, think again. The attack on Sol is beyond bold and unforgivable.
To me, this is a statement that humanity must be eradicated. There are a great deal of promise in our species that I think, again, that they more than deserve an appropriate response for invading the Cradle of Humanity. This very well could be humanity's last stand. So if we must die, I will die fighting for humanity. If you don't want to fight, contribute in other ways. With evacuations and other ways. Our meaningless politics between the superpowers are meaningless in comparison to the Thargoid threat. If you're relatively new to the Thargoid war, like I am, even though I've faced off against the majority of the titans, by now, I bid you welcome to hell. Not as in suffer along with comrades, but to give them hell back. As humans, thousands of years ago once said, "The tolerance of intolerance is the end of tolerance," and that, my fellow commanders, is why we shall give an appropriate response.
I've had my fair share of clogging up the vents from Titans of the past to Cocijo. I've bombed the cores of other Titans to the current one. My squadron taught me well, as did those who fight alongside the Anti-Xeno Initiative, whom I've worked with as well. I hope when Cocijo burns, I can return to exploration and wandering.
We won't back down and we won't just die. Let's give the bugs as much, if not more hell than they give us.
Good luck, commanders, and Godspeed. I salute you all.
Commander DK-Ardok out.
