Artemis, exploration suit.
Night vision is almost a waste for me, as I always land or drive to each sample. A Scarab is great for flat or moderately rough terrain, but nothing beats a Scorpion for climbing mountains or navigating very rough ground. Why bounce around on foot when there are perfectly good vehicles to take you there?
Maverick, salvage suit.
The added melee damage has served me well, and despite what most say, those who have seen me play agree that I put it to good use. The only place it falls short is in punching downed Thargoid Scouts, due to clipping issues. Video at bottom of page
Dominator, combat suit.
It has its uses, but unlike the majority—whose approach I rarely follow—I find it more useful for annoying enemies. In conflict zones, I’m usually in a Scorpion or Scarab. Nothing is more disconcerting than flying in too close in a ship during a sky battle, only to get a missile up the thrusters. The Scorpion also works wonders for getting on top of buildings for excellent firing positions, dumb-firing missiles into a group of recently landed enemy infantry, or simply running them over. If I do get out—and that’s rare—it’s because I want to have a little sport.

Zenith
A quirky little 3-round burst laser pistol that's great for stripping suit shields at close range. As noted in the video above, if you can stun a Thargoid Scout, you can jump inside of them (they have a square heart—see video for reference) and kill them by shooting it.
Eclipse
A lot of people give this laser carbine grief, but when fully engineered, it becomes an optical buzz-saw. If your target is suited with a shield, this is the go-to weapon—aside from plasma.
Aphelion
Not too bad for sniping, but first-shot take-downs are as rare as hen's teeth. It excels at stripping shields from range, and I often use it as a distraction, popping explosive barrels to divert security’s attention away from where I want to be.

P-15
This pistol already has solid base headshot damage. Adding more makes it an up-close head-popper. Since melee damage handles most of my "up close and personal" work, I carry the P-15 more as a noise maker. I don’t have audio-masking on it, so guards will hear it and come to
C-44
A kinetic buzzsaw. If you catch a suited target by surprise, you can rip them apart before their shield even comes online. It's also great for annoying and running security forces around.
AR-50
Not a sniper, but a reliable mid-range gun that deals a decent amount of damage. Good for wearing down and irritating security services.
L-6
For when you want to make a real mess. It’s a micro-rocket launcher. Works well on Thargoid Scouts (as shown in the video above and on the squadron’s main page). It also handles larger interceptors that stray into range—no video on that, but FDev mentioned it after I scored a few ground-air kills with the L-6 and Scorpion against Interceptors.

Tormentor
If Dirty Harry had a space Magnum. At point-blank range, it drops a combat suit's shields with the first shot and removes the threat with the second. Works on most things, but I didn’t have as much luck against Thargoid Scouts with it—energy and kinetic are better for them.
Oppressor
Most hate it, which makes me like it more. Properly engineered, it’s a stable little glowing ball-spitter that will wear down shields and end threats in a couple of bursts.
Intimidator
A shotgun full of fun. With a scope and greater range, the pattern tightens, putting more buckshot on target. Up close, two barrels are all it takes to remove any threat. Didn’t have much success against Thargoid Scouts with it, though.
Executioner
A good ambush plasma sniper. The FPS is slow, and follow-up shots take time, making it tougher against shielded or aware targets. However, it’s still effective for causing distractions or wearing down ship shields—but not so much against Thargoids.
