Meet the Crew!

Previous blurb, reformatted so this log can act as a linked reference doc for the actual trip!

Confession time;

I honestly 110% meant to retire Clara. I did say "never say never" as a bit of a get-out-of-jail-free card but I really thought I wanted to move on and try something different. But all my recent shenanigans have made me miss my in-character dumbassery with her and I was kind of squirming a bit about "resurrecting" her - until I thought "it's a character in a game you muppet, don't take it so damn seriously!"

So yep, decided to pick up the in-character goofiness again as Clara and will just kinda ignore the whole "so long, cruel world!" a while back. HOWEVER - I really did kinda like that whole idea of Clara, Coral and Hal going out in the wild blue yonder, never to return, a bunch of misfits just drifting off Captain Oates style never to be seen again? So some random daydreaming later (how I've not fired myself yet, I have no idea) and decided that sounded like it could be fun.

More headscratching; Clara's old "crew" consisted of two other people, Coral the slf pilot and Hal, engineery guy. And I know, future tech, automation, afmus etc etc - but I always thought it's a bit odd to just have a crew of three rattling around something as big and honking as an Anaconda - they're spectacularly huge beasties after all! Plus I usually go off exploring and while "communing with the black" all by yourself has a nice literary vibe to it - newp, I'd want a bunch of people around, specialists in various fields but more importantly someone to throw popcorn at on movie night and get tipsy with when the space crazy hits.

PLUS:

My next expedition is going to be a whopper. Not crazy time constraints or anything, just very, VERY long. I've been fooling around, helping some friends with some ship builds and just for fun, I built an "unkillable" conda, a deep-space explorer that could literally go out there and never have to come home - ever. Doesn't matter how many stars you crash into, how toasty you get her - unless you do something catastrophically stupid and smash face first into a gazillion g world (Karma TM - watch this space) - it's got all the bells and whistles needed to keep it trucking for eternity.

This'll be a multi-month, multi-million-light year trip; and I'd REALLY want some company for that (aside from anything else, if it's a boring week or so, it gives me some fun in-character stuff to scribble about! ). SO after a lot of fooling around in game and being RNG'd to death by holo-me character animations - here's the crew of the Clair de Lune!
