Personal Log Bahpu Conflict Cont.
I somehow made it back to Roberts in on piece more or less, I don't even remember how I managed that. The last thing I remember is getting the atmospheric stabilizers online and hearing the proximity alarms going off than everything went black
I just woke up in the med-bay apparently they we're not able to completely save my arm. Apparently, they managed to reattach the upper arm but from the elbow down according to the doctors every bone was crushed to powder so now I sit here on the cot looking at this new cybernetic prosthesis they attached, It actually looks pretty lifelike but when I look at it when I move the hand and fingers of it I am reminded that its not It has no feeling its like I'm watching someone else move their hand. It's not my first cybernetic implant hell I had my eyes done back when I was in the Federal Navy but that was out of choice, not necessity. I simply wanted to have better visual acuity when I was in combat but this thing attached to my elbow its just surreal, Dr. says it will take time to get used to and before I know it I won't even notice a difference, I doubt that.
Anyway, How The hell did I get back here?
According to the docking chief who stopped by to let me know my Anaconda was back in the hanger bay undergoing extensive repairs she also told me an amazing story, Apparently Radiant Inc Security had seen me limping away from the battle but due to system malfunctions on my ship they couldn't track me. When they got back to Roberts they reported my ship a loss (a reasonable conclusion)
When they detected my ship in freefall they were amazed I had even made it back to Bahpu 6 let alone alive. While I feverishly worked to get the stabilizers active they were on the ground formulating a rescue plan. while they were trying to figure out how to save me from a firey impact someone had notified my squadron commander that my ship was in free fall. That SOB must be crazy he along with a new friend he was trying to recruit ran to their Imperial Cutters and launched without even asking for clearance. as well as one Anaconda piloted by the commander of MIRAI Squadron.
Apparently just before they reached me (about 300 meters from the impact I managed to activate my stabilizers which apparently slowed me down just enough that Vizio Nodoka and Vizio's friend were able to maneuver themselves into a position with The Anaconda Below Me and An Imperial Cutter on either side into a kind of pinch hold on my hull and carried me like this back to Roberts (boy I hope someone recorded it cause I really want to see it.)
Many commanders feel disgraced when they have to be towed back me I just feel thankful to be alive and that I'm get to fly with pilots that are almost as crazy as I am. and in all honesty, this wasn't really a tow it was according to reports one of the most heroic wing maneuvers ever witnessed. as for me, I have people coming in claiming I'm a hero, I have to quickly correct them and tell them no the heroes are the three pilots that saved my life and my ship, I'm just a man who got really lucky. Go bug them for a while
