Dock: 03/06/3305 - 0006GMT, HIP 20277 (Fabian City)
I made Baron rank. My father would probably be turning in his grave if he had a proper one, but nonetheless I know he would be proud of me and understand why I am doing what I am doing. As soon as I received the notification I hauled ass back to Fabian City. I purchased my Clipper and outfitted it with some beam lasers and torpedo launchers. I was so excited that I flew out on its maiden launch without loading the torpedos. I flew out to HIP 20277 7 and into a resource extraction site. It wasn't long before I found some mining operations that needed support. I engaged a pirate in a Python nefore I realized I didn't have torpedos. I still came out victorious and collected a nice bounty of 534,628cr. Some of his comrades engaged in hot pursiut and rather than find out if I could take them all on, I decided to hightail back to Fabian City.
When I was placing the purchase for the Clipper, I doubted that sitting in the cockpit and flying it was going to be much different than any other vessel I've piloted. Boy, was I wrong! Gutamaya makes a truely superior vessel. My heart skipped a beat as soon as I walked into the bridge. Sitting in the plush cushion of the Commander's Chair and watching the dash instruments power up sent a feeling of exhilaration through my bones. As the landing locks released, the landing gear retracted and shivers were felt in waves over my body. Leaving the airlock shield, I could feel my grin growing from ear to ear, compression jolting me back into my seat as the boost kicked in. While the agility is hard to match on the Vulture, this vessel isnt far off and the speed is unbelievably like the Imperial Eagle.
I named it the Regent Sunny. I will be tanfering my FSD from the Gravitron later on and take it for its first frame shift to New Dawn Station in Ceos. I still need to get used to the size of the ship, I accidentally "clipped" the wing on entry into Fabian City. Once I get some practice with flying it for passenger missions, make a nice chunk of credits to keep up with outfitting it, I'll work on getting it engineered to perfection and return back to Imperial Space to continue my personal mission. Today was one of the happiest days I've had for myself in a long time.
