As predicted I reached Beagle Point today. I scanned the system and then flew to the waypoint on planet 2. But I had to keep going, and I did. I jumped several systems further. I now have been more than 65,569ly from the bubble. I would
have kept going but I couldn't find another star to jump to. So I jumped one star back towards BP and found a bright white moon with a temp in the mid 80's Fahrenheit.
I set down on a flat area of exactly 0 degrees angle. My ship is level, the temp is about perfect and the view is incredible.
It is here I decided to open my Kentucky bourbon and celebrate my accomplishment.
Distant Worlds 2 in now over for me. I have submitted my arrival repot to the fleet commanders and will now enjoy my libations on the far edge of the galaxy.
Tomorrow I will sleep in late, make myself a big breakfast, enjoy my coffee with this amazing view of the milky way, and rest for a while before heading out in the scarab to see what materials this planet has to offer.
Perhaps tomorrow night I will make some cookies as a treat to myself for the end of the expedition.
I will rest for a while, give the Karelian Dawn a very thorough inspection over a few days and make sure she's ready for the 40k plus light years back to Colonia.
I want to thank the expedition coordinators for the outstanding job they have done. Well played Commanders, you have a lot to be proud of. o7
