As if drifting on the cosmic sea, I cross an invisible line and my Phantom and I are now in The Conduit. After crossing the Hieronymus Delta the long way, we're now finishing up the crossing between the galactic arms.
This part of space is mostly brown dwarfs, so not much to see except thier beautiful dull glow.
"Last main sequence star on designated route before fuel exhausted" I don't know what genius wrote this protocol, but half the time it's incorrect., but it usually means fast travel as there isn't anything to scan, but then when the fuel gets low, gotta go old school and manually plot a jump to a fuel star. It's not a problem, just a slight reroute.
Is been a good day though, two ammonia worlds, bunches of water worlds and more terraformables than I can recall. Today will prove profitable when I get back home.
I am starting to realize it's not going to take that long to get back now. So I want to savor the last of the expedition. It's a journey I'll never forget, and a professional explorer, I know that get-home-itis can prove fatal. So I will keep it professional in the cockpit and get home in one piece to the wife.
