CMDR LOG #1-4: 20 May, 3305
Where to start. After trekking nearly 8k LYS into the blackness of space, I crashed my Anaconda. Not like I bumped the surface of a planet and took damage to my hull. No, I tried to land on a high gravity planet to mine some raw minerals. With thrusters at full throttle and my nose pointed to the heavens, I was still unable to compensate for the gravity, I exploded upon impact with the surface. All my data, all my time, gone. I sat in despair, unsure of what to do next.
I decided to pick myself up by my bootstraps. Back to Jameson Memorial to outfit my Anaconda. Bigger shields were a must this time, no rinky dink 3A shields were going to be the death of me. 5A for sure. Visited a few of my favorite engineers to squeeze out a few more LYS from my FSD and then off into the black once more.
I plotted my course to the Lagrange Clouds I had discovered the first go around. If anything, I was going to make damn sure I got my data for those anomaly's. So I plodded on, mindlessly jumping and honking. Mapping anything of note along the way. To my good fortune I took a different route and found an Earth-like planet just waiting to be discovered. Hooray me! So even in the face of defeat I try to look on the bright side. No hanging my head, there is work to be done.
I'm about 3/4 the way to Colonia now. The grind has been, well a grind, but an enjoyable one. Once I get to Colonia CMDR HMM264DOC will rendezvous with me and we will continue on to our ultimate objective of Sagittarius A*.
