Trip to Colonia diary (complete)

Prelude:
I'm not into exploration and I've been postponing my Colonia trip for weeks, spending hours watching vids about how many rare mats are needed to make each module as light as possible, until one day I just bought a (second) Asp Explorer, put almost all stock modules in it and said goodbye.
With 62.31 ly range, it took me a few hours during several days to reach Colonia, docking and repairing hull integrity on all stations noted in Colonia Connection Highway guide.
Of course, this was a speed run, honk&go, to get there ASAP, not exploration trip with FSS-ing and planet probing.

Here's a short diary with station photographs + links and fun facts.

------------------------------------------------------------

Day 1

Never been to Colonia, so I say let's go, without much preparations. AspX, all stock, unengineered modules except G5 FSD and G5 Guardian booster giving 62ly jump.  Bye-bye to the bubble and on my way to Mammon/Asteroid base, 1000ly away.

o

Well, that was quick. After a few jumps I arrived at Mammon/Monitoring facility, a lovely asteroid base in fact.
Next stop, according to (link: elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Colonia_Connection_Highway) is Blu Thua AI-A c14-10 / Hillary Depot, some 1200ly, 21 jumps.

o

Blu Thua AI-A c14-10/Hillary Depot, 2100ly from Sol. No damage, so far all going smooth. Ship integrity 97%, will repair that. Missions here are only mining and cash donations.
Next stop, Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10. Huh, 2440ly.

o

Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10/Amundsen Terminal, 4400ly from Sol. After a few hot moments, it's time to repair and rest.

o

Lagoon Sector FW-W d1-122/asteroid base Attenborough's Watch. Just one jump away from previous entry, so nothing special here.

o

A-aand... Trifid Sector IR-W d1-52/Observation Post Epsilon, Asteroid Base, 5200ly from Sol. Another stinky, dirty, hollow rock.

o

Spending the night in Detention Centre on Rock of Isolation in Omega Sector OD-S b4-0. Voluntarily, as it's on the route. Shipyard here, they offer Sidewinder and Hauler only. Transferring my Vette from bubble would cost 140 mil.!

Day 2

One jump away is Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15/Omega Mining Operation, Asteroid Base. Between two planet rings it's an easy find and landing. Next stop is 1500ly away, so I better buy some coffee, beans and toilet paper.

o

So, 40 minutes and 1500ly later and it's Eagle Sector IR-W d1-105/Eagle Sector Secure Facility ie just another Asteroid Base.
Sol is now 7000 ly away.

o

Also, not sure what this is, but these systems near Eagle Sector IR-W d1-105 look pretty nicely and... strangely lined-up. Worth investigating, sometime...

o

One hop away and I'm on Eagle's Landing, a Planetary Outpost in Eagle Sector IR-W d1-117.

o

Resting at Mjolnir's Wrath, an unfriendly Detention Centre in Nyeajaae VU-Y a27-9.
Shipyard id selling Sidewinder and Hauler, but hear this - transferring Vette here would cost me 197 millions.

o

Don't want to be rude, but Eudaemon Anchorage Station in Rohini system looks a bit... short.
Shipyard sells 12 ships tho', the most expensive being Krait Mk II and there are all kinds of weapons and modules!

Day 3

Phew. After 4000ly and 69 jumps landed on Sacaqawea Space Port @ Skaudai CH-B d14-34. Guess it's half way, Sol is 11kly back. Ship lost 13% integrity since Rohini.

Day 4

At Gagarin Gate Planetary Outpost on Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31, after 2500ly and 40-ish jumps. Thanks to one nasty little red star that pulled me from hyperspace, lost 2% on all modules. Repairs cost 5000Cr. Only 7800 more ly to Colonia.

o

Some 2000ly or 34 jumps later, I'm enjoying the hospitality of Penal Ship Omicron, Detention Centre in Stuelou AT-J c25-24. Repairing minor scratches. Fun fact: transferring Vette here from the bubble would cost 400 mil.

o

Oh, how convenient! Only one jump away from Gagarin Gate is Caravanserai Station in Gandharvi system. Well equipped shipyard and market plus weapons and modules.
Getting supplies for next trip section of 40 jumps.

o

Fast jumping with only honking in each system brought me to Polo Harbour, a Planetary Outpost in Boewnst KS-S c20-959.
Colonia is "only" 4700ly away from here.

o

Vihara Gate Station, Kashyapa system. No shipyard, but you can buy weapons and modules.
This is the final waypoint entry of Colonia Connection Highway… Next and final stop - Colonia!

o

At last, Colonia! After 22.000ly I arrived in a system I so far only read about.
Now, first a rest and a drink, then some local exploring and... I'll think about the Sag next week...
Fun fact: paint is on 60%

Fun facts:

- Estimated RL time spent in travel: around 12-14 hours (cca 380 jumps, most taking 90 seconds including fuel scooping with 6A module + landings + messing with coffee mugs + TV movie distractions)
- Paint went down from bubble to Colonia from 100% to only 60%
- Didn't have to use a single heatsink or repair module
- Had only one pirate interdiction (luckily avoided, as I had no weapons)
- Transferring my Python to Colonia would cost 200 mil. Cr, so I invested 80 mil in a new one there, using AspX's engineered FSD and Guardian booster for some local trading
