Elite: Odyssey

EpisparhIt is a common design. You bring N amount of magazines during a fight. In reality you try to switch magazines as faster you can and collect them later when the things settle.
Have you ever loaded a magazine of a weapon? And then how you actually imagine extracting 1/3th of the plasma in one magazine to add it to another one?

It is natural way of thinking, this is why all games follow that approach.

Not sure why this is problem for you. Free unlimited ammo crates are literally everywhere.

I started on Lee-Enfields, 'nuff said.

I wonder how the Stowed Reloading mod will work then. Does it auto-bin your existing half-full mag and load a new one (annoyingly wasteful), or magically fill it back up (unrealistic). If the latter then you just got unlimited ammo.

If they just used a simple you have 300 ammo and have to reload after 30 or less shots then there would be no wastage and stowed reloading would be simple to implement.

Yeah, I had similar issue in one touristic settlement - the mission accounted fires in all buildings but one of them had none.

Just had a very nice experience with a non-violent theft mission. I had to obtain a deep mantle sample from a mining locker. Got it from an NPC and negotiated for the reward.

How it went:
1. Arrived in destination and walked around, some guards stopped me for scan.
2. Went to terminal and I couldn't see the locker. This was a bit confusing, it turned out that terminals do not show you the content of the building for which you do not have access.
3. The target locker was in industrial building. So I picked one of them, managed to sneaky clone access level 2 which was needed to enter.
4. Only workers inside so no scans. Found another terminal and located the locker (I was lucky that it was in the first building I've entered). This also gave me the code
5. Went to the locker waited to be sure that no one was around me. The item was not marked as illegal.
6. Left the building. Discarded the access level and took a long route to my ship just to be on a safe side.

It is just a bonus, but this is what I call good reward:

Needless to say that it feels right to get materials through missions instead of relogski.

Maybe they fixed it with the recent BGS patch but from the day prior, it seems that the missions which bug out and can't be turned in, that turn themselves in when relogging, end up not counting for BGS activity. Though in general I'm seeing huge swaths of activity is not doing anything anymore. I have no idea what they broke on the back end but it has sapped my desire to play Elite at this point. Will probably come visit in a few months if I remember to.

I've noticed that the Odyssey outposts can be faction aligned; as a player that plays with a squadron-aligned NPC faction, it would be great to see which outposts the faction controls from the Minor Factions tracker that can currently track which systems and stations a minor faction is in

Would it be possible?

It's tracked exactly same as any other station, there are however the common limitations (somebody must dock there, import the data or set it manually) or in a case of non-Odyssey settlements, it must be set manually or such outpost be a part of the minor faction conflict.

Deleting all files contained within and starting up the game again (and putting the settings back to where I had them) actually did increase my fps. It at least doesn't feel like I'm playing a reel-to-reel home movie anymore. Still not great but at least a bit better

Doesn't this deletes also your graphics settings. I manage to have up to 90 fps everywhere except in concourse and settlement where it falls to 45-50 and ground CZ and settlement with fire where it falls bellow 30.

Lol. Certainly not clones it is obvious.

BTW, just jumped my FC while on board ... no pre-jump lock of services, no comm messages .... just the honking sound and you are in the new system.

Yes, that's what it does. If you already get good fps then there is no need to do this. Yes... fire kills fps.

yeah carrier jumps are highly messed up.
And if I happen to get the whole loop with lockdown and so on, my game crashes at like 2-3 secs left to the jump while the voice is counting down

DJ_Megaugh still getting docking request denied at mission settlements too much with no ships on pads.

Perhaps your ship is too large.

flying medium or small ships and still getting it randomly.

Just land nearby, it's actually better to land away from the settlement since you can deploy your SRV which makes looting the place much easier since you don't need to go back to your ship to dump stuff off.

Damn 7 Manufacturing Instuctions? That's a pretty good reward.
