Episparh the BluntHave you tried with less pips to WEP. It is clearly visible in the video that you have plenty of time WEP at 2 and weapons are at max AKA waste of power distributor potential.

I agree, 4/1/1 appears viable with this build. Might be a little easier to turn and chase the FDL. I'll test it.

Depending on your control setup you can continuously (more or less) alter your pips to fit the actions you are taking as you go. I understand that this is probably not feasible with most setups.

Hm. Then I suggest adding a bit more creativity... Put your sampler into the Thargoid in 'retracted' state and then press the button when it will be deep enough.

Fun fact: Pips to engines reflect thruster performance in addition to giving capacity for boost.

LOL, I'm aware of that. It's just that most of the weapons I used previously drained WEP fast, so I kinda got used to 4/0/2 on the Courier and 2/2/2 on the Mamba. The Mamba needs to boost all the time just to turn around. On the Courier boosting is almost counterproductive if you want to stay close to a target.

That being said, I think part of the improvement is due to my aim and timing getting slightly better. With more training I might actually git gud at this.

Personally I think this would be an interesting addition. Enable module/weapon slots to be subdivided into multiple smaller slots. For example take a size 8 internal slot and break it down into two size 4 slots.

Older versions, '93 and' 95 ones, had no slots, only ship cargo capacity in tonnes. And those 'military' slots? There's only one thing that's more stupid - tools, attached to suits.

I think it is easier to balance the game if the ships have slots since this leads to fewer combinations of modules. Imho the military slots aren't that stupid because it helps focusing the "military ships" on the given role without overpowering them as general purpose ships. Following this I would appreciate having "passenger slots" in ships like the dolphin, orca and beluga. Seeing a ton of Pythons doing passenger missions in Robigo Mines ist just stupid
