CMDR LOG #2-2: 21 Jun, 3305
The war is going strong in the nearby system. We've decided to expand our influence into a nearby region of space. More assets are better than fewer. In the law of space, if you're not conquering your are being conquered. We've taken shifts wading into the combat zones. Most of the local militia doesn't stand a chance against our veteran pilots with plenty of wars and skirmishes under their belts.
My Corvette, LSRS Fenris, has done remarkably well if I do say so myself. I originally found her in a decommissioning lot on the Martian moon of Ganymede. I was literally walking out of HQ with my DD214 in hand after my time was done in the Federal Navy and decided to take one last walk around the hangar bays. She had seen her fair share of battles, evident by the burns and laser scars along her hull. Something about her ID number caught my eye. This was the experimental model I had heard about but never seen. Only 5 ever made, contracted out to some old crazy Engineer named Nambo Stagg. Deceased a few years back if the rumors are true. This particular model came with overhauled engines and a reinforced hull. No wonder she was still in one piece.
After a lengthy chat with the crew chief and a large sum of money later, I had the title in my hand. I had big plans for this ship. Lots of maintenance, elbow grease and several Engineers later, she is possibly one of the most deadly ships around. And trust me, I've been around.
The local militia doesn't know what's coming for them. Like I've said before, I enjoy chewing bubble gum and stacking bodies. And I haven't seen bubble gum in weeks....
