This new Krait is hot, unfortunately too hot. I got interdicted by some pirate chancer in a Python keen to get his hands on my wares, though made relatively short work of him. I knew that my lasers would generate a lot of internal heat while on the attack, but I had underestimated exactly how much. Within a few seconds the cockpit was flashing and smoking - so I had to ease off a little to allow things to cool down. I haven't even got these lasers engineered yet, I was hoping to supercharge them, but I will have to think things through a little more carefully now about how to best configure them.
First thing is to swap out the power plant. In its current state its adding more power that I might not necessarily need, while adding to thermal load, which I don't need.
Then, rather than overcharge all three lasers, I'll have to look at maybe engineering at least one of them slightly differently to counteract heat generation. The power from it wont be the same, but by reducing the overall thermal load, I can attack in longer bursts, which may ultimately increase my actual damage output per second. Its a balancing act.
